# Shopify

> Keep your product catalogue in sync with your Shopify store, and fix product gaps that hold back AI assistants, with every change approved by you first.

Connect your Shopify store, and 3RD keeps your product catalogue in sync automatically. You never upload a CSV again. 3RD also uses your store's product data to explain its product readiness checks. Where something is missing, **Fix in Shopify** suggests a fix that you review before anything is written to your store.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The Shopify integration is in **Beta**. If Shopify shows **Coming soon**, it isn't available on your account yet.

## Before you start

* Your plan needs **Products**. Shopify only appears for brands with product tracking.
* You need **edit access** to the brand in 3RD.
* You need your store's address that ends in **.myshopify.com**. You'll find it in Shopify under **Settings → Domains**.
* You connect **per brand**, and each brand links one store.

## Connect your store

**1. Open the connection**

Go to **Products → Add products** and find **Connect your store**. You can also click **Integrations** on the Products page, or open **Settings → Integrations**.

**2. Enter your store address**

Type your `.myshopify.com` address and click **Connect Shopify**.

**3. Approve 3RD in Shopify**

Shopify opens and shows what 3RD can access. Approve it, and you're sent back to 3RD.

**4. Wait for the first sync**

3RD shows that it's syncing. Your active products usually appear in the catalogue within a minute or two.

## How the catalogue stays in sync

* 3RD reads your store's **active** products every day and updates the catalogue to match.
* Click **Sync now** on the **Add products** page to update it straight away.
* Products from Shopify sit alongside products you uploaded by CSV.

## Product readiness checks

With a store connected, the product checks in [Agent readiness](https://docs.get3rd.com/drivers/agent-readiness.md) show detail from your store. For example, they show which products have no category, how many images lack alt text, and which products have no search title or description. Your scores are calculated the same way whether or not a store is connected.

## Fix in Shopify

When an issue can be fixed from your product data, the issue shows a **Fix in Shopify** button. 3RD can fix four things:

* **Search title** and **search description**: what search engines and AI assistants read about a product
* **Category**: a product category from Shopify's own list
* **Image alt text**: the description of each product image

**1. Get suggestions**

Open the issue and click **Fix in Shopify**, then **Suggest fixes**. 3RD writes suggestions from each product's own details and shows what's there now.

**2. Review and edit**

Each product is a card. Edit any suggestion with the pencil, and untick anything you don't want.

**3. Apply**

Click **Apply**. Only what you ticked is written to your store.

### Undo a change

Every applied fix is listed under **Recent changes** in the same dialog. Click **Undo** to put the old value back. If the field was changed in Shopify since 3RD wrote it, 3RD leaves it as it is.

## What 3RD can access

3RD asks Shopify for access to your **products** and **files**. It reads products to keep the catalogue in sync. It only writes the four fields above, and only when you apply a fix. 3RD never reads your customers or orders.

## Disconnect

Open **Settings → Integrations** (or **Products → Add products**) and click **Disconnect**. 3RD removes the products it synced from Shopify, and the app is removed from your store. Products you uploaded by CSV stay.

## Need a different store platform?

Shopify is the first store platform we support. Click **Integrations** on the Products page to tell us which platform you use.
