The Ghost integration is in Beta. Connect it per brand; nothing is shared across brands.
Before you start
- Your organization needs an active 3RD subscription with the Content Agent.
- You need edit access to the brand in 3RD. View-only members don’t see the Connect button.
- You connect per brand. Each brand links its own Ghost site.
- In Ghost, only the site’s Owner or an Administrator can add the integration 3RD uses.
Connect Ghost
1
Open Integrations
In 3RD, open Settings → Integrations for the brand.
2
Click Connect
In the Ghost row, click Connect. The Connect Ghost window opens. Type your Ghost site address, such as
https://example.ghost.io, and click Open this page in Ghost to jump to the integrations settings in Ghost Admin.3
Add a custom integration
In Ghost Admin, click Settings (the gear icon at the bottom left), scroll down to Advanced and open Integrations. Click Add custom integration, type
3RD as the name and click Add. Copy the API URL and the Admin API key that Ghost shows.4
Paste your details
Back in 3RD, click Next. Paste the API URL (your site address works too) and the Admin API key, then click Connect. 3RD checks them with your site, and the row shows Connected.
What goes into Ghost
There is nothing to set up: every article goes in as a new post. 3RD fills these fields:
Images are uploaded to your Ghost site. An image that can’t be copied stays a link to its original address, and 3RD tells you how many.
Push an article to Ghost
1
Open the article
In the Content Agent, open a new article (not an optimization of an existing page).
2
Send it as a draft
Click Push to Ghost. If the brand has more than one CMS connected, the button says Push to CMS and you pick Ghost in the window. Check the Address and click Send as draft. 3RD shows Draft created in Ghost when it’s done.
3
Review it in Ghost
Open Posts in Ghost Admin. The new post is marked Draft.
Drafts only
3RD only ever creates or updates draft posts. It never publishes, never emails your members or sends a newsletter, and never deletes anything. Once a post is published, scheduled or sent in Ghost, 3RD leaves it alone. Pushing that article again shows a message asking you to edit it in Ghost. If someone edits the draft in Ghost while 3RD is sending it, 3RD overwrites nothing and asks you to push again.Disconnect
Open the ⋯ menu in the Ghost row and click Disconnect. 3RD stops sending anything to Ghost and deletes the key it stored. Posts already in Ghost stay where they are. Deleting the3RD integration in Ghost also removes 3RD’s access. The next time 3RD tries to reach your site, the row shows Reconnect needed.
