Connect Monday.com and you can send tasks from the Task management board straight onto a Monday board. Each task becomes an item with its full brief attached. You choose whether you send tasks yourself, or let 3RD keep every open task on one board with its status in step both ways.
The Monday.com integration is in Beta. If you don’t see the Monday.com row, it isn’t switched on for your organization yet.

Before you start

  • You need edit access to the brand in 3RD. View-only members don’t see the Connect button.
  • You connect per brand. Each brand links its own Monday account.
  • A Monday.com admin must install the 3RD app first. If you’re an admin, Monday shows you the install step when you connect. If you aren’t, Monday won’t let you connect until an admin has installed it.

Connect Monday.com

1

Open Integrations

In 3RD, open Settings → Integrations for the brand. Monday.com is under Task management. You can also click Integrations on the Task management board.
2

Click Connect

In the Monday.com row, click Connect. Sign in to Monday and allow 3RD access.
3

Check it's connected

Back in 3RD, the row shows Connected and the account you linked. If you cancel in Monday, nothing is connected and the row says so.

Choose how tasks go to Monday

Open the ⋯ menu in the Monday.com row and click Sync settings. On the Task management board, click the Monday button instead. The How 3RD works with Monday window opens with two choices: With Sync all tasks, you also set up the sync board:
  • Board and Group: where new items go.
  • Brief column: a long-text column for the brief. Pick Comment on the item to add the brief as a comment (an update) instead.
  • Status column: the board’s status column. The board needs one, so add one in Monday first if it has none.
  • To do, In progress, Done: the label each 3RD status matches. Match at least one, and give each a different label. Pick Don’t match to skip a status.
Click Save. 3RD then sends the brand’s open tasks (To do and In progress) to the board straight away, and checks for new ones about every ten minutes. Each task goes across once, on the label its status matches.

Keep status in step

Status syncs only with Sync all tasks, and only for items on the sync board. From 3RD to Monday. When you change the status of a synced task in 3RD, 3RD asks Update Monday too? Click Update Monday to set the item to the matching label, or Not now to leave it. When you remove or dismiss a task, 3RD asks Archive in Monday too? instead. An archived item can be restored from the board’s archive. From Monday to 3RD. When you change a synced item’s status label in Monday, the task in 3RD moves to the status that label matches. The Sync settings window shows Status changes made in Monday come back to 3RD. when this is working. The newest change wins, whichever side made it.

What 3RD never does

3RD only creates items, writes their brief and status, adds a comment, and archives an item it created when you say yes. It never:
  • deletes, moves or duplicates anything in Monday
  • changes a board’s structure, such as its columns or groups
  • changes your Monday users or teams

Disconnect

Open the ⋯ menu in the Monday.com row and click Disconnect, then confirm. You can also click Disconnect in the How 3RD works with Monday window. 3RD stops sending anything to Monday, stops syncing and removes its access. Items already in Monday stay where they are.
