Monitoring settings control the engine underneath every metric. Three things live here:
The most important setting on this page: select the domains you want 3RD to track and the pages that are relevant. That selection is the foundation for content recommendations, diagnostics, and fair benchmarking against competitors.

AI models

Choose which models 3RD queries — ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and more. The number of models depends on your plan, and you can swap models at any time.
Track the models your buyers actually use. Consumer brands often prioritize ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews; developer tools may care more about Claude and Perplexity. When a model matters to your audience but your visibility there is weak, that’s a per-model gap worth its own Playbook.

Runs

Your prompts are sent to the AI models on a schedule managed by 3RD. Each complete round of sending all prompts to all configured models is a run; your metrics update as runs complete, and the Overview shows a countdown to the next run.

Tracked domains

The domains 3RD monitors, in two types:
  • Own Brand — your website(s). Drives owned-citation classification and content/crawlability analysis.
  • Competitor — competitors’ websites, monitored for comparison.
Within your domains, you choose which pages are relevant to track. Individual monitored pages — discovered through AI citations or sitemap crawling — track scrape status, content, SEO scores, and performance. 3RD watches your sitemap and surfaces newly published pages in the Overview’s recent events, so you can add them to tracking. An accurate domain and page selection gives 3RD the best foundation to recommend what content to create — and the best benchmarking against your competitors.
